Many people are getting dreams and visions today, but they don’t understand them. Signs and symbols are critical to our knowing what God is saying in these last days. God is speaking to us clearly of things to come for both leaders and individuals.
Hearing God’s voice is a benefit that we are all able to receive; even those who are not believers in God. He speaks to us on a daily basis about changing our lives, accepting His Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3: 16; Acts 2: 17 – 18; Revelation 3: 20)
God speaks to us in dreams and visions, the written Word, through prophetic utterances, circumstances and the suffering we go through. He can even use movies and His servants.
God does not speak to us through mediums, psychics; neither does God charge a fee for a service. People can bless the ministry, but not to pay for a word. They Holy Spirit is not for sale! Neither must His Spiritual gifts be prostituted.
Keys to Hearing God’s Voice
Meet with the Lord regularly.
Keep a journal of the things the Lord says to you, and wait for it to come to pass.
Listen for the Word of the Lord and what He will say to you.
Look for Him to speak to you in dreams and visions.
Understanding Symbols
God speaks to us through symbols. In order to better understand symbols when He speaks to us, we must first consult the Word of God to interpret the symbols. Both symbols and colors carry a message. For example, in the Books of Genesis and Daniel, symbols and colors are critical. They were pertinent for the kings’ dreams to be interpreted. (Daniel 2, Genesis 40 – 41, Psalm 78: 2)
Dreams and visions must be taken very seriously. Don’t let anyone try to convince you that it is not important. If clearly understood, it can bring great blessing; if ignored it can bring great disaster. (Judges 7: 10 – 15; Job 33: 14 – 15; Genesis 39: 21)
