STEVE LYSTON | BUILDING ON SAND WITHOUT A PLAN

Matthew 7: 24 – 29, “Therefore whoever hears\nthese sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built\nhis house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew\nand beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.  “But everyone who hears these sayings of\nMine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on\nthe sand:  and the rain descended, the\nfloods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great\nwas its fall.”  And so it was, when Jesus\nhad ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, for\nHe taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

A Plan
\n\n
\n\n
According to the dictionary, a plan is an\norderly step by step conception or proposal for accomplishing an objective or a\nproposed or intended course of action. \nIt is also a diagram or drawing made to scale showing a structure or\narrangement of something or program or policy stipulating a service or benefit.
\n\n
An intention or decision about what one is\ngoing to do.  decide on and arrange in\nadvance.
\n\n
\n\n
Everywhere you go there is a lot of building\ngoing on.  Some say they are building to\nachieve economic growth and development; but who is benefitting from all the\nbuilding that is going on?  What are the\nplans for the meta-verse, multi-verse, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Real\nEstate and all these so-called advancements in technology?
\n\n
\n\n
The Anti-Christ is a great builder, as we see\nin Genesis 11.  Building Babylon means\nbuilding a system without God.  Are we\nbuilding a system to put people in bondage – filled with death, oppression, manipulation\nand control?  What is the source of\ninspiration most plans?  The answer to\nthat question will be key.  Many nations\nno longer build on the Solid Rock.  The\nquestion is, can whatever we are building survive the testing by the wind?
\n\n
\n\n
The foundation of each “building”/system will\nbe tested by the wind, the rain, the flood and the sun.  Can it survive the fire?  All plans and building must pass God’s\napproval.  Wise builders build on the\nrock, and fools build on sand.

The Rock vs. The Sand
\n\n
\n\n
The Rock represents the things – the principles\nof God. It also symbolizes stability. \nThe rock also symbolizes longevity, covenant, source of strength,\nfortress, delivery, strength, and power. \n(2 Samuel 22: 2, Psalm 71:3 and Psalm 18: 1; Psalm 71: 3)
\n\n
\n\n
The sand symbolizes the things of the world. It\nrepresents instability and has to do with the flesh, sin, self-centeredness,\ngreed, and the lust for power.  The sand\nrepresents things that are temporary, it looks good on the outside to man’s\neyes, but those things fall quickly.  If\nsomeone builds on sand, God will test it, and so will the rains.  The rain will come – it symbolizes the\nblessings.  So, when someone builds on\nsand and the blessings come then it will all crumble.  Psalm 62: 7 – 8 says, “In God is my salvation\nand my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.  Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour\nout your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
\n\n
\n\n
Anything we build must make it clear that God\nis our Savior.  We must look to Him for\nstrength, refuge and protection in time of trouble.  It is surprising that many are building to\nbuild God out of society.  Many want to\nmove the Creator, Maker and Originator out of the picture.
\n\n
\n\n
Similarly, in the same way, man is making\nrobots to reduce manpower.  There is no\nway man can build without a redeemer.  Remember,\nPsalm 78: 35 says, “Then they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most\nHigh God their Redeemer.”
\n\n
\n\n
There are some within the Body of Christ who\nare building without Christ the Solid Rock. \nIsaiah 44: 8, lets us know that they are building Christ out of the\nChurch.  It says, “Do not fear, nor be\nafraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My\nwitnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not\none.’ ”
\n\n
\n\n
Because nations are building without God, we\nare now seeing continually increasing crime, violence, sickness, diseases, and\npoverty.  But when we build with a plan\nfrom the Lord, He gives us revelation, insight, foresight and more. We must\nbuild by His prescribed order and get back to the foundation if we really want\nto see change.  We are now seeing the\neducation and banking systems falling because they have been functioning\nwithout His prescribed order.
\n\n
\n\n
Finally, the wealth of every nation is in the\nground.  Man is now abandoning what is in\nthe ground for what is in the air – cloud-based everything!
\n\n
\n\n
We need to get grounded again and build on the\nRock!
