Dedicate your business to God. Deut. 20: 5 – 6, Psalms 127:1

2. Ensure that the name of your business is significant. Ensure that the name has a meaning that carries your blessings. E.g. Genesis 17:4-6 – Abram to Abraham; Genesis 32:28 – Jacob to Israel, John 1:42 - Simon to Peter; Also study the story of Jabez. Names are significant to the blessings one receive.

3. Ensure that you pay tithes Malachi 3: 10. There are 7 blessings that you receive when you pay tithes. It will also protect your business, your family, and from diseases such as the H1N1, etc.

4. Ensure that you give your first fruit from your business. Remember the first fruit belongs to the Lord. First Fruit means your first salary, increase on sales, or increase from new contracts or business (Proverbs 3:9), (Romans 11:16).

5. Hire Staff that are blessed and living holy. Sin will cause problems in your business, be wise in your selection. Do not select by qualification only, but also by wisdom. Some may be qualified but their sinful life will affect your business.

6. Make sure you entertain The Holy Spirit in your business. E.g. play worship music, have devotions at the beginning and the end of the week.

7. Ask God to lead, bless and direct your business. Matthew 6:36, Jeremiah 17

8. Ensure that you use no other method than God’s method to get blessings. E.g. Do not burn any incense, no display of idols, loading of money, putting charms in business places such as lime in draws, Psalms 127:1, Psalms 121.

9. Always remember that God is the one that gives power to give wealth. Deut. 8:18

10. Time management is the key and understanding times and seasons for blessing. Learn about times and seasons. It will help you to expand your business. E.g. when to make certain important decisions. There are three main seasons for year that business persons must obey. Deut. 16:16, Genesis 8:22, Ecclesiastes 3.

11. Give to the poor daily. There are seven blessings when you give to the poor (Psalms 41).

12. Treat your workers with respect. The workers are blessings from the Lord. Do not rob them of their wages and oppress them (James 5).

13. No unjust determination of employment. If you are guilty of any this, it will affect your business because God will judge you.
