MOVING FORWARD

With all the wrangling taking place in Jamaica – the pressure both the people and the leaders now face, to find solutions, restore order and bring peace to the nation, the present Administration must realize by now that instead of talking about what happened in the past Administration, it is time to move forward. They must realize that lamenting on what transpired 18 years ago will not help the Administration because the memory of our fellow Jamaicans are very short. It is not about the past Administration, it is about the judgment of God upon the people of the nation for forsaking Him.
The number ‘18’ signifies ‘oppression; bondage; captivity; judgment and oppression’. Judges 10: 7 – 8 and Luke 13: 4, 11 – 16.
After 18 years, the Lord is looking for leaders, an Administration to seek Him. II Chronicles 15: 2. He has promised that if they seek Him they will find Him, but that if they forsake Him then He will forsake them.
Once a nation and its leader do not seek the Lord, there will be no peace; instead there will be trouble on every side. In fact the Scripture, II Chronicles 15: 5 says,
“And in those times there was no peace to the one who went out, nor to the one who came in, but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands.”
Regardless of the number of advisors the leader of a nation has, it is imperative that such a leader seeks God himself/herself; because the advisors may not have the leader’s best interest at heart.
The people of Jamaica, generally speaking, have forsaken the Lord for over twenty (20) years, and one of the reasons is that Jamaica didn’t have a teaching priest.
For the Administration to survive (their tenure in office) or be re-elected, and for peace, order and change to be in the nation, there needs to be quick reform! The nation’s leader needs to take courage, put away the abominable idols of the land and let there be a gathering of the people of the nation. Set the month of March or the month of June as a time of rededication – rededicating the nation to the Lord! Then, offer a major seed/offering unto the Lord that He may bless the finance of the nation; and then make a vow that the leaders of this nation going forward will seek the Lord with all their hearts and make it mandatory to have one day of Worship and Thanksgiving each year unto the Lord. There will need to be a removal of all public officials that are serving other gods, and all obscene images, according to II Chronicles 15: 16.
Once the Administration does this, then there will be changes in all areas of the nation and those who migrated will begin to return to help rebuild the nation! Further to this, God will give peace to the Administration. Failure to obey the Scriptures on this matter will mean continued changing of Administrations until God can find one who will obey Him. This Administration must know that according to Proverbs 24: 3 – 4, it is through Godly wisdom that a house is built, by understanding it is established and by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
