Exciting times are ahead as we continue to hear of the soon to be implemented ‘Sunday Racing’!
It has been said by those responsible that this will help to revamp the Caymanas Track and possibly boost the economy! What is interesting about this is that they are actually then saying that in a Christian/Godly nation such as Jamaica, the solution is to implement the very things which go against His principles. So ultimately, the solution is to lose faith in God, go against His principles and trust sin to be the savior of this nation and its economy!
The first principle to the rebuilding of a nation’s economy is ‘Fear The Lord’ – Psalm 25: 12 – 14. The man who fears the Lord – God will teach him the way to economic stability in the nation. He himself will dwell in prosperity – so the entire nation will dwell in prosperity! God would then reveal His secret for reformation of the economy.
Both political parties to date, through their actions and activities, have proven that they don’t fear God! They would quickly accept un-Godly principles and refuse to accept even one righteous principle! They have not even called the nation into a day of Fasting and Repentance so that they may receive the benefits of repentance (Joel 2) so that the nation’s economy can be restored!
Further to all this, neither of the political parties have come to accept the fact that it is God who gives power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8: 18) – and this includes the economy and personal lives.
If those responsible go ahead with the ‘Sunday Racing’, here is the list of rewards for such action.
1. Further downward spiraling of the economy
2. Significant increase in crime
3. Loss of the divine favour which they once had
4. Poverty and redundancies will increase
5. Plagues and illnesses such as colon and prostate cancer will increase, especially
among those who implement that activity
6. More churches would close down
7. There will be chaos among the government/opposition-backed groups headed
by religious personnel
Matthew 7: 24 – 27 outlines that a nation’s economy cannot be built on sand (world systems and human logic), but on the rock – Him!
Gambling is one form of building on sand. Hence, when the wind blows, the house (the economy) is going to collapse.
