THE WIND OF CHANGE AND VALUE OF LIFE
By: Apostle Steve Lyston
Many people want to have riches, fame and power, but they forget that the higher you go, the greater the problems and expectations will be. The key is to have God’s help.
Everybody has problems - regardless of status. Having money/wealth doesn't mean there won’t be problems. On the contrary, there will be problems, and some of the problems we will not be able to fix – only God can do that. This reminds us that we are not God and we do not have full control. Some may think that prayer doesn’t work, but prayer brings supernatural intervention, not in the way we may expect, but in the way it is needed for real change to come.
Society is set up for people to fake it and pretend that everything is okay, and social network is the medium society has created to perpetuate the cover-up. I believe that the number one reason at the root of suicide is the inability of people to find God or someone with integrity that they can trust and be open with in order to get help to solve their problems. Trusting the wrong person will bring chaos and failure. Remember, your enemy is always the one who does not want to see the fulfilment of your purpose (it could be a family member, a friend - anyone)
I believe we are about to see the greatest shift on earth and part of the shift we are about to see is great men and great organizations will just tumble in a day. Many will be shocked. But whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Find someone to trust! When problems arise remember, there is nothing more valuable than life and despite what you see there is ALWAYS hope! Things can change in a moment and anything you lose today you can get it back tomorrow. Remember the story of Job – he lost everything including his family; but God restored him and he received twice as much as he had before including family – because he stood through the situation. The main fact that you are still alive and God didn’t take you out, means that you still have a fighting chance and you cannot give up. Material things are always temporary; they come in seasons and they can go in seasons. But when a person takes his/her own life, it is not a temporary thing, in fact, their real problem starts at that point and there is no rest in peace. Unlike this life, eternity does not end.
We all need to realize that problems are gates of change and they always test us for us to see what is really within us and in our hearts, and the strength and structure of our foundation. The question then becomes, “Of what material is our foundation/empire made?” (Matthew 7: 24 – 27)
Many build their foundation /empire trusting in man, their wealth, the size of their empire and even on their knowledge/wisdom, not remembering that all these will be tested. If the foundation/empire is not built on the Solid Rock, then the fall will be great.
Shift
The wind has shifted! When the wind shifts, it affects everything – authority, priority, as well as political and military direction and market conditions. If we – whether individually or collectively – don’t shift with the shift then we will be shifted out and there will be great losses, not profits.
When the wind shifts, even an aircraft has to change direction in order to continue safely and avoid crashing. It is called “wind shear”. In weather, a “wind shear” is a microscale meteorological phenomenon occurring over a very small distance. So we are in an unpredictable time where the seasons are irregular and so, where there was once predictability and comfortability those no longer exists. So many have plans – whether to go to war or gain power at any level – but only God’s plan will be accomplished. As a result we now have to change the runway we use in order to safely get off the ground.
Things will become so serious, that even famous and historical landmarks will be utterly destroyed. So if people don’t change the way they think and operate, we will see suicide rate will increase to a level we have never seen before.
